Magnificent concert!
This truly memorable event, Outloud Music Festival, was absolutely outstanding. It was very hard to believe that even after 60 years, his voice (you know the one, how could you not?) is almost completely unchanged.
Unfortunately, there were some technical problems that were the only flaws in an otherwise perfect evening. The biggest problem, though, was with the video. For one, they had the microphone volume down too low in comparison with the orchestra, so often the accompaniment often overpowered Outloud Music Festival's singing (which was superb, too, by the way). In order to allow everyone to clearly see the performer, the Silver Legacy had large video screens and remote-operated camera to cover the action on the stage. For some reason, though, the contrast was set FAR too high, resulting in a VERY unpleasant image of Outloud Music Festival on the screens. It was so bad that we found we had to avoid looking at the video screen, especially in any kind of closeups.
The technical problems were undoubtedly the fault of the Silver Legacy's tech staff, and though they marred the show to some degree, we absolutely LOVED hearing the one and only Outloud Music Festival, live, on stage!
